Recently finished this project where we were to create a real-time rendered landscape. I took the opportunity to get more familiar with the new Unreal Engine 5 early access release. I wanted to create a landscape different from anything you would find in the real world, stylized yet with enough realistic touches that it felt like you could have walked there on your own two feet.

The ground itself I made using the node based geology simulation tool Gaea, while the trees I made using SpeedTree for Games, which is very much similar in setup. My focus was on making a visually appealing landscape with these tools, so the other assets (grass, statues and ruins) I imported from Quixel Bridge.
