Recently I took the file from my old “Wings of Icarus” school VR project and created a 1 min. animation out of it. The system is a “personal flight simulator” meant to recreate the feel of flying with your very own wings.

I tried to include different types of waking and behavior as reasonable (normal walking, balancing on ledge, climbing up on pedestal, flight, gliding etc.). It was a lot of fun creating it, and I learned much about basic 3D animation. I hope I will be able to develop these skills further!

(Both the wings and doll were originally imported from other creators due to time limitations. I did some adjustments to the armature rigging of the doll to make it easier to animate, such as including inverse kinetics to the feet and coupling them and the head to proxy bones.)
