I am currently working as lead rigger on a fan-animation project from the retired videogame WildStar (Project Genesis), starring the character Drusera. I recently did a small animation of her as a test run of the rig and simulation setups. One of the main challenges was creating a stable clothing simulation of her skirts that was also set up in such a way it could be animated manually instead by just the push of a button.

Note: The 3D model of Drusera is borrowed from the video game itself, and later we have done steps to enhance the textures and mesh.

Project Genesis is a volunteer only project with the goal to inspire future fan animations of WildStar and renew some of the interest in this game. Our official site can be found here on Discord. The Drusera rig is also openly available on GitHub.
